What is an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)?

Who pays for an IEE?
In many cases, if you disagree with a school district’s evaluation, you may request the district to fund an IEE at public expense. CAS also accepts private-pay arrangements if families choose.
How long does the evaluation process take?
CAS typically delivers a full written report within 30 days of completing the evaluation sessions and receiving all records. This ensures families and schools can act quickly.
